Alina Cordoba | AZ AFL-CIO Communications & Operations Director | AFSCME 2960 Member

Alina Cordoba is an alumni of Arizona State University, and a proud member of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Local 2960. Her journey in the workforce began alongside her grandmother, an office manager at a high school, whose encouragement inspired a lifelong commitment to education, service, and advocacy for working people.

She began her career in education, working her way up from a paraprofessional to a full-time teacher. In the classroom, she focused on building an inclusive environment where students felt safe, heard, and empowered to speak up.

Today, she leads communications for the Arizona AFL-CIO, working closely with affiliated unions and labor constituency groups across the state to amplify the voices of working people.
